The compatibility for Capricorn and Libra is a complicated question. Capricorn is one of the earth signs and one of the four cardinal signs while Libra is an air sign. A Capricorn is often considered to be most compatible with either a Taurus or Virgo with a Libra considered to be most compatible with an Aquarius or Gemini. Many Astrologers suggest that a relationship between these two signs can never work.

However, this is far from the case. The compatibility for Capricorn and Libra can vary greatly from case to case. A Capricorn is a methodical and sometimes cold personality. Libra being one of the air signs is often able to overcome the early hostility and slowly break down the barriers between the two star signs.

If both star signs share a common interest then the situation is made a lot easier. While in some relationships opposites attract that is not the case between a Capricorn and Libra. Only with a shared interest will Capricorn and Libra ever converse let alone become friends or more.

The compatibility for Capricorn and Libra is increased if both individuals are attractive. For both Capricorn and Libra appearances greatly affect their first impressions. Some Capricorns will not even talk to people they deem unattractive.

While these two signs are not the perfect match there is some potential for a lasting and loving relationship. The Libra man or woman has to take the lead and be almost aggressive if they want to get any sort of response from the Capricorn. For Capricorns they need to try and be as relaxed and laid back as possible around a Libra. Libras are free spirits and do not want to be tied down by a boring and rigid Capricorn.
